| You get to learn about how people use, make, and interact with salt. There's a lot of fun facts (if you're into impressing the guys/ladies), food recipes (if you happen to like Greek rotten fish sauce), and altogether the book is fascinating. However, the book does gets dry and repetitive in some parts. Sometimes you'll be bombarded with such a large pile of information that it's difficult to take in everything in one read. All complaints aside, it'll still forever change the way you look at a saltshaker.
