Iwould give this book 4 stars because it was overall very captivating and was
very interesting, and even inspirational at times. The author Jeremy Rifkin not
only pointed out the differences in how Europe is comparably different to
America, he also includes some great factors about how society today is
changing and not only the generation itself, but also how it contributes to the
American Dream. The American Dream was originally formed because many people
came to America to live a life and considered it to be the "Land of
Opportunity." However, with increasing advanced technology, we are discreetly
cheating our ways in finding success in life and it ruins the purpose of the
American Dream. The American Dream itself really involves working hard in
becoming successful. It shows how narcissistic we are for depending on luck,
thinking that 20 minutes of fame will make us rich or gambling will lead us to having
a successful future. Ultimately, I highly recommend this book. It's overall,
very fascinating, although I do caution there are some major statistics that he
will repeatedly state, so it involves lots of numbers and percentages.
