| In the book,Cod, Mark Kurlansky writes about a biography of the fish that changed the world. It is about how this fish revolves around the world by causing cod wars like with Iceland and England, being a reason to settle to places like North America, major food resource in some places, and much more. There was some interesting parts in the book but overall, I thought the book was boring. In my opinion, I thought some parts of the chapters got off topic and provided a lot of facts. One interesting fact I got out of this book was how this fish got its name. Cod, in middle english, means "a bag or sack" and has a sexual connotations. They didn't say why but I found this part interesting. I rate this book a 3 out of 5. If you guys really like fish then this book is good for you because there are olden recipes! I honestly hate fish and prefer meat.
