| "Collapse" by Jared Diamond tries to explain how environmental dilemmas contribute to the fall of societies. I found this book to be quite arid and boring for it states practically nothing but facts after facts after facts. It feels like another textbook to be honest. Diamond spends too much time describing the societies in detail rather than telling us what made them fall, which was the whole idea of the book. Don't get me wrong, it is chock full of information, whether or not it's useful is up to you, but in my opinion this book is not worth reading. Sure, if you want a challenge, go ahead and read it! Otherwise, I advise you to choose another book.
