This is a movie staring Academy Award Winning actor Kevin Spacy. While it is a great movie, it is based on fact. Unfortunately, the worst thing about this movie is that it is true. I highly recommend this for those of you that want to know why our political system is not functioning the way we would like it to.

This is my first time watching this movie and I gotta say it surprised me. I never heard of "lobbyists" ever in my life. Although this movie is only revolved around casinos I'm sure there are many other types of businesses that hires lobbyists. It is also possible that the officers in congress may hire lobbyists also. Is this how elections and deals become so one-sided? I never thought politics are this evil and gruesome. There's so much thinking and actions take behind a single company. I believe that hiring lobbyists should be illegal and banned. Some evil person could be elected due to the work of a lobbyist. Everything should be fair and the votes should be by the people only.

While watching the movie, Casino Jack, it was surprising to learn how our government works. The fact that lobbyists are hired to win over elections, does not make it fair, and makes people think whether or not the person who was elected was even right for the job. Just like gerrymandering, having lobbyists should be illegal, and not protected. Those government officials who have won elections due to these people do not even deserve their jobs. It gives me a better understanding now why our political system is not functioning the way it should be.
I would give this movie a 3.5/5 I found this movie a bit humorous and I was able to learn about how much money and power play in our government.

Casino Jack is a movie that unravels the possible actions that a businessman can take to attain wealth and power in a country like the United States of America. Sometimes, however, these actions can be quite unscrupulous, and unscrupulous actions meet dire consequences.
In the film, Jack Abramoff, an influential Washington, D.C. lobbyist, is that businessman. He defrauds Native American tribes of millions of dollars to benefit himself, his peers, and several members of Congress, sometimes to buy their votes for political causes. In the end, however, this led to a client's grisly assault and another businessman's murder, and Abramoff and many of his colleagues were arrested, tried, and sentenced to prison.
What does Casino Jack teach us about attaining success in a country like the United States? Never attain it through unscrupulous means, like Abramoff did through extorting money from Native Americans and lobbying against his own clients just to profit from lobbying fees. Doing so landed him in hot water in federal court. Also, if you want to convince someone to support a cause, we should never use money to win his or her support. Why? Money is a commodity that grips the lives of everyone around us; we all work for it, we need it. But if we constantly shove other people with money, telling them that we'll pay them to support a cause, then that shows that we're collecting supporters like works of art. Instead, we should convince them, not bribe them, towards our side. With bribes they would only support a cause because they'll be getting money out of it. They wouldn't exactly believe in the cause.
Despite criticism of over-fictionalization, Casino Jack presents a very real lesson all businessmen should learn - that the one who extorts money will be extorted of his credibility.

| Casino Jack is an interesting movie about businesses rising to economic power in developed countries. You can learn many things about economics and what's behind it all. There are instances of defrauding and bribing that benefits one person and costs others millions. This money gained is used to gain political power and in some cases foul play. Lobbyists grip money for their own personal wealth and advantage. Just because lobbyists have money doesn't mean the law can't ignore them. These people should be thrown in jail for acting similar to gerrymandering.
I rate this movie 3.5/5 because the movie was informative and could be inspiring to businessmen around the world.

" Casino Jack" is a movie inspired by real events and directed George Hickenlooper. It was About Jack, he is on a mission to acquire all the good things that money, power and privilege can buy. With business partner Michael at his side, jack uses his considerable clout to amass a lucrative and influential personal empire.
I will rate this 4/5 because of its story inspired by a real event and very interest but some scenes quite belong to the adult then a teenager.
