I REALLY liked this book. It was inpirational in how he pushed himself to make his dream come true. Greg Mortenson saw how the people of Pakistan needed help with getting schools built, so he did everything in his power to give small villages a school. He gets sidetracked many times, from not having any money to buy materials for the school to getting kidnapped by al Qaeda. While he's in Pakistan, the Taliban and al Qaeda are slowly rising to power and taking over all the villages. Although many Pakistani people are taught to hate Americans, Greg is known and loved by hundreds of people there. Even though he's in great danger every second he's there, he would rather be taken hostage then let a girl go through life without an education. I would recommend this book to anyone, although it is a slow read at some points.
